My inspiration for founding Sterling Hygiene stems from my time as a caregiver at an adult day center for seniors living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Witnessing the profound impact of oral health on their dignity—seeing how a simple issue like a slipping denture could shatter someone's confidence—was a turning point for me. In high-pressure caregiving environments, oral hygiene is often overlooked because staff aren't always trained to recognize early warning signs. I realized then how vital it is to have a dedicated advocate for this essential component of overall health. Throughout my career as a dental hygienist, this experience has remained my primary motivation. I have seen firsthand how restorative professional hygiene care can be, returning comfort and self-assurance to those who felt they had lost them. Sterling Hygiene was born from a commitment to bridge this gap. My goal is to deliver compassionate, professional preventive care directly to those who find traditional dental visits challenging, ensuring that every individual—regardless of age or mobility—receives the high-quality, dignified treatment they deserve.
